The 13035TCC-3 Tri-TCC was introduced in July 2024 in response to requests for higher performance when using the latest CMOS cameras.
Application: Ideal for imaging with CMOS, DSLR and mirrorless cameras.
This optimized Tri-TCC design uses three matched glass elements assembled into an air-spaced Super ED triplet lens assembly to produce an F/5 photographic speed. The telecompressor design uses Lanthanum high-index glass and high-grade SD elements to produce sharp detail over a 35mm full-frame format. All mechanical parts, including the covers, are beautifully machined anodized aluminum with a lustrous black finish. The barrel design uses a unique dovetail for quick attachment to the focuser without introducing tilt into the optical system.
The 130GTX operating at f/5.0 (0.79x compression) is an ideal match for the full-format CMOS cameras currently popular amongst astro-imagers. Extreme detail can be captured in very short time thanks to the fast focal ratio. This accessory is a must for fastidious astro-imagers, as the TCC provides an extended color-correction range far beyond the visible range, producing high-resolution images from the latest technology in CMOS sensors. Wide-field images will be highly detailed which allows the astro-imager to make very large prints without doing time-consuming mosaics.
Choose the appropriate version for your refractor
For the 130GTX, look closely at your dew shield, in most cases, to determine which version you need. You may also refer to your original sales order. The serial number is difficult to see on the lens.

13035TCC-3 Includes
- 130TCC housing with optics optimized for this version.
- Two beautifully machined anodized aluminum covers
- 13035TCC-3 Decal to differentiate from similar assemblies
Back-focus spacing from the rear flange
- Back-focus distance is 102.9mm - measured from the back flange of the TCC to the camera sensor.
- Back-focus distance with the optional EXT327-22.1 is 80.8mm - we offer adapters for popular CMOS cameras as well as Nikon and Canon EOS DSLR and mirrorless cameras. These adapters are described below.
Use with CMOS Cameras up to 35mm
Adapters are available for use with CMOS cameras with thread sizes of 48, 54 and 68mm. These are designed for the popular CMOS cameras currently available that utilize the 55mm standard spacing. The EXT327-22.1 Back-focus Spacer is required for this image train. Refer to the 130GTX CMOS System Diagram.
